Volunteer

Our Tutor Program:

Culpeper Literacy Council is a non-profit organization that relies entirely on its volunteers. Tutors are needed in all Adult Basic Education (ABE) subjects including reading, writing and math. Tutors who are interested in working with our ESL (English as a Second Language) students are also needed. Classrooms and tutor rooms are available at the Culpeper Literacy Council office for tutors to schedule based on their availability.  In addition, online resources and educational materials are provided to all tutors.

Becoming a Volunteer Tutor:

You must be 18 years of age or older to volunteer with Culpeper Literacy Council.  Whether you can only give an hour or are interested in working with multiple students each week, we need you!  To find out more about becoming a CLC tutor, please contact the office at: (540) 825-5804.

New Tutor Training Sessions are offered multiple times per year, so please call us to reserve a spot at our next session. Tutor training is required for all CLC tutors. Continued professional development training and workshops are scheduled throughout the year as a vital part of our growing program.
