Adult Basic Education (ABE) Program

This program helps adults who want to strengthen their reading skills by working one-on-one with a tutor. Together, the student and tutor decide what kind of reading to work on. They meet for class about once a week and the student practices on their own between meetings.

Tutors can also help with basic math skills and even social studies. We can work wtih students who are working to pass a college entrance examination or who need to improve their skills for their job.

This program is flexible to meet the needs of the adult learners and their schedules.  Tutoring sessions can be held here at CLC or other convenient public locations during the day or evening, seven days a week.
