Adult Basic Education (ABE) Program

This program pairs adults who would like to strengthen their basic literacy skills such as reading, writing or math.

Adult learners can be paired with a one-on-one tutor, or have the option of attending a small group instruction class that focuses either on reading improvement or math   improvement.   Many adult learners use this program to advance their skills so they can enter the GED program. Other students need specialized assistance to help them raise their scores on standardized tests in order to pass college entrance exams. Others need to improve their basic reading and math skills in order to keep or advance in their jobs.

This program is flexible to meet the needs of the adult learners and their schedules.  Tutoring sessions can be held here at CLC or other convenient public locations during the day or evening, seven days a week.
